Myofascial Release (MFR) helps a broad spectrum of challenges in the body. It is a gentle and extremely effective modality for soft tissue tension relief.

During Myofascial Release we will look for areas that are hot, hard, tender or immobile. One of the primary holds we use is called a cross-hand hold. The cross-hand hold often lasts a minimum of 3 to 5 minutes and sometimes longer. As the tissue eases you will feel a softening, warming, and/or a stretching quality. Many people find this deeply therapeutic and relaxing.

Jon Schauer primarily received his training in Myofascial Release from John F. Barnes. He has completed several John F. Barnes seminars and has additional training from a variety of organizations in Myofascial Release.
